Winter 2023 Schedule

Tai Chi 101: Grasp the Bird’s Tail

In this eight-week course, we will learn the first ten movements of traditional Yang style Tai Chi, including “Grasp the Bird’s Tail.”

Together we will practice a variety of solo drills and partner exercises, designed to help you remember, understand, apply and enjoy Tai Chi.

Beginners are welcome. Experienced practitioners are also welcome. Instruction will be tailored to the abilities of each student.

Participants must sign a liability agreement and media release, to be provided at the first class.

Advanced Tai Chi Footwork

Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm to 8pm
January 4 through February 22, 2023

In this eight-week course, we will continue to develop our Yang style Tai Chi practice, with a focus on stance and footwork in both solo form and push hands. Instruction will be tailored to the abilities of each student.

Participants should have a minimum of six months prior experience. This particular class is not intended for absolute beginners.

This class is held at a private residence near Bitter Lake Community Center. Address will be provided after registration. Participants must sign a liability agreement and media release form, to be provided at the first class.

If you are currently experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have recently been exposed to COVID-19, you should not attend.
